I feel like this quote was written for me. Since moving to Michigan in January, it is the epitome of my life right now. Moving here was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. For once in my life, I was finally able to solely focus on myself — and I now am happier than I ever have been. Now with only a short time left here as I wait for the phone call to tell me where I’m moving, I find myself so happy with who I’ve become in Michigan. I’m someone I always hoped I could be, but never thought I would be. Life truly does surprise you right when you’ve given up.

Well, what can I say. A LOT has changed since I last posted. I now live in Novi, Michigan and begin my new career on Monday working for Hormel Foods in Detroit. Yes my friends, this means that I’ve graduated college, moved to another state, changed time zones, and have to begin a full time job on Monday. Talk about a lot changing huh? But yes, I did get the job and I couldn’t be more excited. 2010 will definitely be a new, different, and great one!

This week my mom drove out with me to get me settled here. I could haven’t made this move without her helping me this week, my sister helping me with everything this week and calming me down from stressing, and my dad for helping with all of the moving and budget truck problems, and who could forget my brother who continued to remind me of the one thing that I don’t want to hear about. Ha. I couldn’t have done it without any of them.

My internet is now set up at my new apartment and I’m so happy. Now I can update everyone on my life. I will post pics of my new apartment this weekend. I hope everyone is ready for a wonderful new year!

It’s true, friends pick you up when you’re down. Trina did that for me today. She sent me a text because she knew I was feeling down and exhausted from the waiting game of hearing about a possible job. Thank you to all of my friends and family for your ongoing support. Yes friends, he made a bad decision at the awards show, but there is no denying his talent. This is his performance on the Ellen Show from last week. This is the guy I fell in love with on American Idol. His talent is beyond words, and this song is priceless. I will forever stand by that.

Seriously I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw this one and questioned whether I had done this and sent it in. It completely looks like something I did. It is a picture from the Top of the Rock in New York City with a Swan that says ‘Never Give up’. Honestly, one of my favorite places in the world with one of my favorite quotes. Never, never, never give up. Wow, can’t believe this was one of them. Enjoy!
